CHOCOLATEY RECIPE FOR VALENTINE'S DESSERT
For me, no Valentine's Day celebration would be complete without chocolate, so here is one of my favorite truffle recipes for your delight. It is based on a recipe from Chris Zeigler, owner of www.alittleolfactory.com.

Raspberry Chocolate Truffles
(makes about 30)

- 12 oz Dark Chocolate broken into pieces (I use Trader Joe's extra dark --79% chocolate)
- � cup organic plain whole milk yogurt
- 2 tbsp Chambord liquor
- Cocoa Powder

Place broken chocolate and Chambord in a double boiler and slowly melt chocolate. Add yogurt and whisk thoroughly until very smooth. Mixture will thicken quickly. Chill mixture for 2 hours. This is called a Ganache.

Use a melon ball to scoop out small balls of the Ganache. Using hands well dusted with cocoa powder roll balls in cocoa powder to coat. Do not handle truffles for too long as the Ganache will get soft quickly from the heat of your hands. That is undesirable as the truffle will not hold its round shape well. Place truffles on a clean cocoa powder coated cookie sheet. Chill until firm.

November 3 -- Ladies' Day Out reminder

Yes, I am still experiencing difficulties with my newsletter program, so I apologize if you get this twice. If anyone out there has the inclination to reply to this and let me know it was received, that would help me a lot!

A SOON-TO-BE ANNOUNCEMENT . . .

Where have I been? Other than the fact that my email list is still not working the right way, making it difficult to send a message, I have been busy.

Busy? Yes, busy.

Because soon, there will be a relaunch of my new website, totally redesigned with new products galore. There will be new soaps, new butters, new lip balms and new bath salts. But look for some other handmade creations that are not bath and body products.

Have I enticed you?

OK, I'll tell. There will be beaded jewelry and vases, notecards and framed photographs, just to name a few. My creative flourish is your shopping pleasure!

So look for the new website, and look for my official announcement soon.

JOIN US FOR A LADIES' DAY OUT

You are invited on Saturday, November 3, from 12-5 to my humble abode for light refreshments and one-stop holiday shopping. Besides Debra's Rhapsody products, there will be Liz Nolan of DITY Beads make-your-own jewelry and Deborah LaValle of Delectable Delights by Deborah, homemade gourmet treats. Isn't it fun that a bunch of stay-at-home moms can come together for a special ladies' event? Come out and start your holiday shopping and enjoy some time away from real life. We can't wait!
