INTRODUCING DEBRA'S RHAPSODY . . .
Well, our semi-new site, anyway. Due to creative differences between my webmaster and myself (meaning that Keith and I were too tired to work on the new site by the time Owen was finally in bed at night!) we have revamped our old site to reflect our new products and focus. It'll work while we get the overhaul done over the next seven years or so! ;-)

So now, in addition to our soaps and body products, you'll find my handmade jewelry and hints of what's to come!
Did I mention that to celebrate our love for our new products, we are offering 20% off all orders between now and the end of Valentine's Day (February 14, EST). Just use coupon code 203085234.
SOAP PRICES SOAR, YET YOU SAVE???
How can this be?
First of all, let me explain why prices are soaring. Fuel costs are causing the prices of my raw materials to rise, and also the shipping costs of getting them to me. Due to weather and political factors, the costs of many essential oils are on the rise as well, some as much as 150%. That's huge folks, and disheartening. But since I refuse to compromise my quality, I have no choice but to raise my prices to reflect my rising costs.
But how can you save money when my prices are going up? Simple. I am rewarding you for being loyal customers, and for that you get special perks, my dears!
Soaps that were formerly 3 for 15.00 are now 3 for 17.00, but private customers -- that's you! -- get 10% off the 3 bar price -- that's all the time, or at least until further notice! -- so 15.30 for 3 plus a free soap with every order -- now that's savings and bonus fun. Just write LOYAL in the comments box when you place your order and I will adjust your total and lovingly toss in that free bar of soap with your order.

And you can rest easy knowing that you are still getting soap made with Fair Trade shea butter, pesticide-free, wildcrafted or organic essential oils and all the delectable botanicals, clays and luxury oils you have grown to depend on from Debra's Rhapsody products.
VALENTINE'S SPECIALS
Introducing . . . Sure Thing Soap, Body Oil and Perfume Oil
Sure thing, you ask? Well, this complex unisex scent blend is based on research done at the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago. Men go crazy for lavender and cinnamon, and they perceive women as looking 6 years younger when the scent of grapefruit is near. How can you lose when you and your Valentine share these products?
Don't forget, there is a sale between now and Valentine's Day -- 20% off -- so indulge for your romantic tryst or send the link to your loved one with a giant hint about what you want for Valentine's Day.

CHOCOLATEY RECIPE FOR VALENTINE'S DESSERT
For me, no Valentine's Day celebration would be complete without chocolate, so here is one of my favorite truffle recipes for your delight. It is based on a recipe from Chris Zeigler, owner of www.alittleolfactory.com.
Raspberry Chocolate Truffles
(makes about 30)
- 12 oz Dark Chocolate broken into pieces (I use Trader Joe's extra dark --79% chocolate)
- ¼ cup organic plain whole milk yogurt
- 2 tbsp Chambord liquor
- Cocoa Powder
Place broken chocolate and Chambord in a double boiler and slowly melt chocolate. Add yogurt and whisk thoroughly until very smooth. Mixture will thicken quickly. Chill mixture for 2 hours. This is called a Ganache.
Use a melon ball to scoop out small balls of the Ganache. Using hands well dusted with cocoa powder roll balls in cocoa powder to coat. Do not handle truffles for too long as the Ganache will get soft quickly from the heat of your hands. That is undesirable as the truffle will not hold its round shape well. Place truffles on a clean cocoa powder coated cookie sheet. Chill until firm.
Enjoy! Enjoy your truffles, your Valentine's Day and of course the products you choose from Debra's Rhapsody.
