Yes, it is a hot one, I sure love it but I bet some of you feel melty today! Here are some fun ideas for keeping cool:
~ Put your Rose or Lavender Hydrosol in the refrigerator, and mist that cool, refreshing spray whenever you need it.
~ Take a cool bath wth your choice of Debra’s Rhapsody Bath Salts. You’ll be cool, moisturized, detoxified, nourished and get all the aromatherapeutic benefits. What could be better?
~ Use our Foot Restorer Cooling Foot Butter on your feet to cool them but also on your pulse points — at your wrists, behind your knees and behind your ears.
~ Rub an ice cube on those same pulse points.
~ Meditate, and visualize being in a cool place.
Hope these ideas have put you in a cool state of being!

You want something good for your spirit? All you need is a 15-minute walk in this gorgeous sunshine to brighten up your day, literally and figuratively. Firstly, you’ll get a good dose of vitamin D that way, a vitamin your body needs and cannot produce itself. Just like light therapy will chase away winter blues, a daily dose of sunshine will lift your spirits and energize you. Finally, walk mindfully, meaning your full awareness is on your surroundings. You are sure to discover pleasure in the little things in life and see something you’ve never noticed before.

I know this seems the universal advice lately on how to relax, destress and unwind. Well, it works, but that isn’t what I want to write about today. Many of you know that one of my favorite things to do is hike with my dog Guinness. I am loving it even more than usual lately b/c there is a beautiful tree blooming that smells so fantastic! It is a smallish tree with clusters of white blossoms, and it is a sight to behold, for sure, but it isn’t the visual beauty that will first attract your attention to it. I remember the first time a whiff of the glorious scent wafted toward my nostrils, THAT is what made me look around for the source of the olfactory beauty. So get out this weekend in search of this heaven-scented mystery tree, and if any of you know what it is, be sure to post a comment!
